We sat down to speak to local community member Michelle and Director of BreastScreen Sydney Local Health District, Dr. Wendy Vincent to hear their story and learn more about the importance of screening for Breast Cancer.
During October we raised $56,400 for a BreastScreen NSW Community Engagement Officer for the local area to help educate and encourage local women to get screened. Thank you to everyone who donated.
For women aged 50–74, a breast screen is the best way to find breast cancer early – before you can notice a change or feel a lump. Please consider booking your free breast x-ray through BreastScreen NSW; no GP referral is needed and appointments only take 20 mins. For more information about BreastScreen NSW CLICK HERE.
